A slight blip

I spent Sunday with my boyfriend Max and we went down to a local beach to hang out. Unfortunately I had a slight blip on my 'turning of the new leaf'. Yes you guessed it I did a runner, I could not help myself as there were some really nice rabbit smells. I could still see Max's owners so I just stayed up on the hills at the back of the beach until I heard them calling my name. I still ignored them until I saw them start to drive away in the car so I ran as fast as I could and they saw me and stopped and waited for me, lovely people as the beach was a long way from home and I didn't fancy walking it back.
Me at the beach Ops I had done a runner by then

Turned over a new leaf?

Been out for a nice 2 hour walk today in Archidona. They let me off the lead so I was free to escape and chase the rabbits in the Arroyo Marin valley. I did a lot of running around but the Deeming's kept whistling for me to come back and I did and they gave me a biscuit every time which was great.

Me being good

For some reason I did this for the whole of the walk and near the finish I walked with them right up to the car and stood there waiting for them to open the door without running off which I think is first. Watch this space to see if I can keep up the good work?

Lost at the dam

After spending the first hour yesterday with 2 new friends on a walk near the Dam in Iznajar I picked up the scent of rabbits and could not resist going off trying to find them. I was really enjoying myself and got totaly carried away and forgot to go back to my owners and their friends. By the time it started to get dark I thought I would go back to where they had parked their car but there were no longer any cars there, I did find a few bits of food that they had left for me, so I ate that and tried to find somewhere warm for the night. There was not much about so I just made myself a little bed under some bushes it was very cold and I wondered why I had not stayed with my owners and I would be in my nice warm basket in our house. Maybe one day I will not get carried away chasing rabbits and start being a normal dog like my 2 new friends. Dream on rabbit hunting is too much fun. Anyway after a freezing cold night my owners came back to the parking space where they had parked yesterday and I was very pleased to see them they gave me some food and water then took me home. When we got home they gave me some more food and water and I went to bed in my nice warm basket. I hope that you all didn't worry too much because I had gone missing again, don't worry it wont happen again, well it might.
See you all again soon

Adventure in Loja

We went for a walk from Los Abades near Loja with 2 of my friends Olly & Stan. We had a great time running around first through some woods then up a steep hill which had some really nice animal scents that I could run around sniffing. My friends were not too interested in that they just liked running around. We eventually arrived at a big cross and had a rest and some water and biscuits. When we got going again I found some really nice scents and followed them for ages and forgot about everything else after a couple of hours. I realized that my friends their owner Matty, Chris & Cyril had gone and I was getting tired. I remembered where they had parked the cars so I made my way back there but the cars had gone too!!!!! Don't panic I thought this has happened before so I just sat down and waited and sure enough after about and hour Chris & Cyril drove up in their car. I gave them a good bark to show how pleased I was to see them. They tried to give me some water but I had found plenty of puddles on route so I got in the car and went to sleep. I noticed the car was full of food so they had been to the supermarket. They had bought me a packet of dog biscuits so they knew I would be coming back from my wonderings. Another adventure over for the day.

Holiday time

Been on holiday to Aunty Barbara's and Uncle Graham's and my boyfriend Max while the Deeming's went on holiday to New Zealand, I dont know where that is but think it is not in Trabuco as I did not see them for 5 weeks. Had a wonderful time was spoiled rotten with lots of food and a bit of exercise, not many big route marches that I have to do with the Deeming's. Aunty Sharron was over here from England and she took me and Max on some nice walks, one was a nice visit to the 100 canons (water pipes). We also went down to the seaside to a place called Nerja where me and Max went in the sea, well paddled as the water was a bit cold, and we also played on the beach, me and Max that is. As I was having such a nice time I did not bother running off I will save that for when the Deeming's get back. I think they like coming back for me the next day after I have had a night out. I had my own bedroom it was really nice they let me sleep on a sofa bed, much better than my old blanket at home and Aunty Barbara came in every morning and tickled my tummy and gave me lots of treats. I think I might have put a bit of weight on during the holiday, hopefully the Deeming's wont notice but I am sure that they will be giving me one meal a day and be taking me on route marches again soon.

Call me Lady Scoobie

I think that I should change my name to Lady Scoobie as I have been mixing with the hoy poley this year. Firstly during the summer I was going on holiday to the UK and remember me telling you that I spent 3 glorious weeks in the Hotel Des Toutou in Calais because they would not let me in the UK, where I met some new pen friends (well kennel friends actually). Well last Wednesday I went for a walk with the Deemings again (yawn) and we started the walk at Hotel Barbadilla a five star hotel to walk to Villanueva de Tapia.. They decided to let me off the lead this week as I had been good for a couple of weeks (first mistake) as my new friend Ollie was there too and they thought that it would be OK as we would just play together during the walk (second mistake) as soon as I got out of the car I did a runner as I had picked up the scent of Rabbits. I ran around like a lunatic for about an hour then I heard them whistling me so I went to them hoping to get a bit of ham sandwich from one of the walkers. But after I had run like the wind to catch them I found that he only had dry bread this time. So I just let them stroke me for a bit and tell me what a good girl I was for coming back and then they let me go off again (third mistake) as this time I was in rabbit city. They carried on for a coffee in Tapia and I just carried on sniffing and running around. Eventually I got tired and thought that I had better try to find them again as it was getting late. So I went back to the Hotel to see if their car was still there. But I had blown it and they had gone home without me so I had to stay at the Hotel for the night, this may sound good but unfortunately it was closed for the winter so I spend the night in a five star car park, I was a bit cold and hungry. In the words of my auntie Nik I think I am getting too old for this lark maybe I wont do it again (watch this space). The next morning the Deemings came and rescued me as usual and took me home for a nice (well not really) hot bath and I spent the rest of the day recovering in bed resting and eating as much as I could to build me up for my next adventure. Speak soon Love (Lady) Scoobie xxx

Latest news

Hi everybody just thought I would let you know about some recent antics that I have been up to. Last Saturday night I went to my favourite place Villa Alta to a party and had a great time and would like to thank all the people who gave me lots of nice food and lots of attention all night.
Then on wednesday I went for a walk with the Deemings to my favourite rabbit chasing area from Villanueva de Tapia to Salinas ,but they kept me on the lead all the way so I could only chase them for about 5 meters before getting choked by the lead. On the way back we got caught in a heavy rainstorm and what was a few puddles on the track on the way was now a torrent and we all had to jump across a ditch, one of the walkers tried to pick me up to get me across but I won't let anyone do that so jumped and did not make it across to the other side and sank under the water. Good job that I was on the lead as they could pull me out and not get washed away. I did not like the muddy water and chocked a lot all the rest of the way back.

I have just been on holiday again. We have been to Cabo de Gata in Almeria. We had a great time and they let me off the lead for one of the walks and I really had a good time and would not go back to them when they got back to the campervan. Cyril eventually tried to catch me and walked after me until I finally got cornered at the harbor and I had to make the decision as to whether I should let him put the lead on me or jump into the water in the harbor. Well as I am allergic to water I just sat down and let him put the lead on me. The next day we walked to a beach and while they sunbathed I was left to walk about with my long lead on which stops me from running off as it’s like being a prisoner on a ball and chain. I had a great time digging holes all over the beach as there was nobody else on there all the time we were there. Went shopping today as it was raining and they bought my a nice neckerchief, think it looks a bit too posh for me what do you think?

First trip to France

Me and my best mate Tilley have just been on holiday to France, It is the first time for both of us. We were really excited. It all started with the usual chaos of loading up the campervan. This time we had extra passengers besides Chris & Cyril we had Pat & Edna (Tilley’s mum & nana). We took 2 days to get to France stopping overnight on the outskirts of Valencia. Pat & Edna slept in a posh hotel we stayed in the campervan with Chris & Cyril. The next day we arrived at Pat’s friends in France and this time we had the campervan to ourselves as all the people slept in the house. We had a great time but heavy rain kept us awake most of the night. The next day we left Pat & Edna with their friends in France and went off in the campervan with Chris & Cyril to do some walking. We went to Mont-Louis then drove about 10k up a narrow road to Lac des Bouillouses where it was very cold a raining, maybe it was because we were at a height of 2005 meters brrrr. We stayed there the night and were going for a walk in the morning but when we woke up it was snowing so we went foe a drive instead. We drove into and through Andorra. We had some trauma when we crossed the border from France into Andorra as Tilley realized that she had left her passport with Pat so as we approached the border we got Chris & Cyril to put us both in the shower and guess what they drove straight through without being stopped. Andorra was a bit dull with just ski resorts and shops and it was cloudy so we just stopped for a quick comfort break. Leaving Andorra back into Spain we also had a problem they put us in the shower again. Chris was driving and thought we should go in the lane for buses as there was a big queue of cars in the other lane, but a man came out and stopped us and had a look in the campervan but he didn’t look in the shower and we kept really quiet, phew that was lucky I didn’t fancy losing my mate Tilley in quarantine for six months. So in one day we went from France through Andorra and then into Spain.

The next day we went for a 10 mile walk which was 5 miles up hill, we had to pose for a photo shoot on the top. We were so tired when we got back to the van that we just ate some food then crashed out for the night. Happy days.

The next day we did another walk but a bit shorter this time through a big forest, we met a Dutch man who was collecting mushrooms and I barked at him but he didn’t look very scared when he saw me, good job I was on the lead or I would have had him. We then moved on to a place called Olot , there was not a lot to say about the place apart from Cyril driving the campervan through a barrier into an area that was only for buses and we could not get out until a bus came in. Olot was surrounded by volcanoes which we were walking round the next day, we didn’t like Olot a lot so we drove to Santa Pau where we found a car park for Autocars so we stayed the night there as we seem to be classed as a bus now. The next day we did a nice walk round the volcanoes along lovely forest paths but I was in for a shock as when we were walking passed a field I touched a fence and had an electric shock which was not nice at all, I wont be doing that again in a hurry.

The next day we drove on to a place called Besalu, we parked on the outskirts of the village and walked in the Deemings seem to like it , it was a very old village with a 13th century bridge and old village walls. We walked over the bridge and two men were playing music so I didn’t bark at them. We then drove on the Figueres they were going on about visiting the Dali museum, dogs were not allowed in there so me and Tilley got left in the van which was OK because we had a good sleep. They came back and raved on about this crazy artist and how good the museum was yawn yawn. We drove on to Cadaques which is on the Costa Brava they didn’t take us to the beach but hopefully we will do that tomorrow because I love the sand! Tilley is excited because we are going back into France tomorrow to be back with her mum and nana she says she has missed them. The next day we went to Portlligat to see Salvidor Dali’s house we left Tilley in the campervan and I went with Chris and Cyril to the house via a little walk along the beach. I didn’t get to go in the house as dogs were not allowed in so they tied me up outside and I spent the time barking at people who kept saying that I had big ears!! After that we drove back into France, we had to hide in the shower again but we were not stopped this time. It was good to see Pat & Edna again and we slept in the campervan but this time Chris & Cyril joined us as there was no room in the house in France. The next two days we traveled back home without any problems. So now I have been to France and Andorra and had a really good holiday.

Saturday, May 1, 2010

Well after 6 days in the olive groves without any food I decided to go back to the Deemings. After looking for me every day and me running away they had brought the campervan to the olive groves where I had been hiding. They found me again last night but I just walked away again. But at 5am this morningI decided that I could not go on any longer after 6 days without food so I went to the campervan and my best friend Tilley woke up the deemings and when they opened the door I just went into the campervan and they put the lead on me and I just lay down and had a kip. The Deemings went back to sleep also and when they woke up they gave me loads of food then took me for a walk. When they got me home they gave me a wash and I felt a lot better.

Wednesday, April 28, 2010

Just to let you know that I have run away from home. I may not be back as I am enjoying wondering around the olive groves in the campo not far from Iznajar. The Deemings have been trying to catch me for 4 days but I wont let them anywhere near me. I am getting a bit hungry at the moment so I may give in soon. If I dont give in then this is probably the last time I will talk to you as there aren't many computers in the olive grove.

27/01/2010
Think im getting the hang of things now the Deemings took me for a walk the other day and they decided to let me off the lead again. So I had a great run around in the olive grove and went back to them for a treat twice and they seemed happy with that. I didn't give in straight away when they wanted to put me back on the lead but only messed them about a little bit so I heard them say 9 out of 10 whatever that means..........speak to you all soon

Holiday in Almeria

Saturday 23nd January 2010.
Happy New Year to you all. Sorry I haven't seen you for a while I have been away for a few days. We went down to Almeria to walk the coastal path along the 'Cabo de Gata' to escape the rain in Trabuco. The first day we walked along the coast to La Almadraba Monteleva passing a bird santuary where we saw some flamingoes then on to a salt mine and finally to La Fabriquilla which was like a ghost town no cafe open for a cafe con leche. Had to go back to the first village for a cafe but it said "no perros" but I gave the lady behind the bar a nice smile and she let me in. That night we stayed on a carpark with some dutch people. The next day we went to San Jose because Cyril and Chris kept saying to each other do you know the way to San Jose well thats what they kept singing all the time it was getting on my nerves after a while. We didnt stay in the village we drove along a track to a beach called playa monsul. We had lunch then walked up to an 18th century watchtower called Vigia Vela Blanca. The next day we walked from the beach to San Jose. We went to an internet cafe for lunch it was a bit trendy for the Deemings they made me sit outside. When we got back to the campervan the Deemings let me off on the beach which took me by surprise as they haven't done that for ages and I just stood there for a few minutes then I remembered what I do so I ran off up into the dunes and found a nice young couple and gave them a good barking at which they thought was funny. There was also a little boy running around the dunes so I chased him for a bit. I still didn't want to get back to the campervan and Chris had to come and get me but I soon gave up. The next day we drove to San Jose and went on a big walk to Los Escullos and back. The next day we went to Rodalquilar to do another big walk and look at some gold mines ( I wasnt that interested but the Deemings seemed to like it). That night we changed plans as we had to drive to Las Negras to find a shop as the Deemings had run out of wine. We then went home the next day I don't remeber much about the journey as I was asleep all the way. The Deemings were busy unloading the campervan and they left the front door open so I saw my opportunity to escape. So I ran down into the village for a couple of hours but it started getting dark and I hadn't had any tea so I went back home and got them to open the front door and let me in. Had my tea and went to bed. A couple of days later we went a walk on the tracks around Trabuco it was great there was lots of muddy puddles for me to play in but towards the end of the walk I did make one mistake, I saw a nice puddle and jumped in but I ended up to my neck in mud and I knew that there would be an early bath for me when I got back home. But just before we finished the walk we crossed a bridge over a small river as I was just standing looking at it the next thing I knew Cyril pushes me in, it was a good job I had a good strong lead on as it was a fast flowing really freezing river and Cyril managed to drag me out before I disappered under the bridge. Anyway it did the trick and I was now clean again but freezing my butt off but at least I avoided the early bath when I got home.
see you soon

19/12/2009
I had a great time today went for a walk with the Deemings. We went walking over the olive groves and as it had been raining it was nice and muddy, I love the mud and got all the skicky stuff over my feet. We had been walking for about an hour and had got to a track and we were walking passed a big shed and there was a nice dog about and I went to play with him but my lead got stuck and snapped. So off I went running all over the fields playing with my new friend I think his name was Saki anyway we were jumping over each other in the mud it was great. For about 45 minutes the Deemings tried to catch me and then a nice little Spanish boy who was the owner of Saki started to help them. He tried to catch me but I barked at him, eventually Chis got me to sit and caught me but I was now a brown dog instead of white. Guess what happened when we got home! I was chained up and muzzled and they washed me all nice and clean for Christmas. But I hate being clean.
Merry Christmas everybody xx

10/12/2009

Thursday morning had my usual walk but no breakfast so guessed we were going on a trip. I was right as we loaded up the campervan and went off to the coast to a place called La Linea de la Concepcion, parked up the van and then they told me I was going abroad to a foreign country so I had to get my passport out. Well we got all the passports ready walked into a place called Gibraltar which is apparently part of the UK. I was getting quite excited by now but when I walked past the border police they just ignored me. I was well miffed and felt like giving then a good barking to but kept quiet. This was all new to me lots of shops and people and traffic. Anyway I enjoyed my little walk and went back to the campervan after being ignored by both UK and Spanish border police. The next day we went back to Gibraltar and I was ignored again but this time I was so miffed I did a poop in the middle of the airport runway , that showed em. As we were walking along this chap offered to drive us up to the top of the hill for 20€ each and I could go free, when we told him we were walking up he said that I could get attacked by the monkeys , we thought it was a bit of a rip-off so said no thanks. We then started walking up a hill (what’s new) but after a few minutes I heard the Deemings moaning it seems that they had to pay a euro each to walk up the hill, what a rip-off. Anyway they paid up and we started up the hill, we eventually arrived at the top of the hill by a chairlift and some nice Spanish men said to be careful as the monkeys were dangerous and last week they killed a dog. They tried to get us to pay 8€ and go back down the lift to save my life but I said to the Deemings not to bother as I could look after myself. So we turned round and went back down another way we did see a lot of monkeys but they didn't try to attack me, I think they were too scared of me if you ask me. We managed to get back to the campervan without me having to deal with the monkeys. The next day we went to a place called Tarifa which was very nice and we had a nice long walk along a lovely sandy beach (the sign said no dogs but there were about a million on there so off we went) .I had a great running in the sand but refused to go anywhere near the sea. We then went a walk round a castle and the man at the gate asked the Deemings had retired, which they have of course, so they got in free but I was tied up at the gate as he wouldn’t let me in. Anyway I let them tie me up and they went a walk round the castle but I kept seeing them and barked when I did it was great fun. The next day we went inland from the coast to Jimena de la frontera where we walked into the hills, today we encountered loads of cows. I was OK but Chris was really scared of them but I didn't bark or create too much fuss and we didn't get into trouble. The next day we went to a little village called Benarraba where we did a little walk and it was cold and windy and I met a new friend who looked very much like my best friend Tilley and he had a nice coat on but im too hard for one of those and would bite the Deeming if they tried to put one on me. We came home after the walk to find that it had snowed on the hills around Trabuco and it was much colder than when we left on thursday and we wished we had stayed at the coast where it was warmer.

Friday, December 4, 2009

Hi everyone I have been for a walk today and think I may have found my dad. What do you think?

Friday, November 27, 2009

It all started nicely on saturday morning. We met up with some friends in the main plaza in my village and walked over to Rosario. When we got back the deemings loaded up the campervan and off we went to Canillas de Aceituna. Next morning we went on a walk on the trails around La Maroma and because I had been good they let me off the lead. So I did my usual trick of not getting close to them so they could catch me. When they stopped for lunch I wouldn't go anywhere near then so didn't have any food or drink doh how stupid is that. Anyway I got a scent of something up the hill so off I went after it, it must have been mountain goat or a rabbit. Never got anywhere near it but I made a lot of noise barking felt really grown up. Anyway I still wouldn't let them catch me but after about 6 hours walking at a bend in the track there was a shed and Chris had hidden in there and Cyril was round the corner so I was trapped. So I just sat down and let them put the lead back on. The next day we went for another 5 hour walk and they keep me on the lead nearly all day, but towards the end of the day the lead came off the collar so I got away but was a bit tired so only ran around for a little while and then sat down and let Chris put the lead back on. Then on Wednesday we walked with a group of english people again up Alto del Fraile, which is a bit steep so they let me off the lead again so that I wouldn't pull them over. I had a great time as just after they let me off I spotted some mountain goats which I chased all over the mountain but could not get anywhere near them as they are better rock climbers than me, but I scared them with my ferocious barking. I eventually met up with them when they were on the top having some lunch. I would not go anywhere near the Deemings just in case they put the lead on but did get a bit of apple from one of the group. We then started going down the other side of the mountain and I walked with the group for a while but then got a scent of something and lost contact with the group. As the mountain is close to my old friends at Villa Alta I decided to make my way down there as I knew that they still had a soft spot for me and would look after me until the Deemings came to find me. Well I was right my friends at Villa Alta were really nice to me (I knew I could rely on them) and one of them phoned the Deemings to come and pick me up. I was really tired when I got home so went straight to bed.

Hi everybody, sorry I have been quiet lately but I have not been too badly behaved. I have only managed to escape a few times but let them catch me real quick. Been watching 'Children in need rock concert' and was really moved by Paul Macartney singing 'hey Scub' think it was that anyway as that is what the deemings were singing to me as they walked me after I heard it. Prefer 'Dizzy Rascal' myself more hip than Sir Paul.
See you soon Luv Scoobie
